Chef Shi Benjia from Xiyuan Canteen, and Zheng Yi, the driver of the Food Distribution Center, ensured food safety and prepared every meal carefully. After the sharing of the most beautiful laborers, Li Han, director of the Logistics Support Department, said, “I’m deeply inspired and moved by them! It is the generations of laborers in the Logistics Support Department who, with their dedication, determination, and compassion, safeguard the peaceful 5 km2 campus at the foot of Shizishan. Let us pay tribute to the laborers who willingly hold their positions!”

The exhibition of handcrafts displayed over a hundred pieces created by more than 300 staff members of the Logistics Support Department, many of which were full of creativity, exquisite craftsmanship, and profound meaning. “Bridge of childhood innocence” was made of branches broken from an old elm tree in the kindergarten because of freezing rain and snow. “All things grow” combined pine cones and plant fruits scattered on Shizishan. Broken branches, pine cones, and other items discarded by nature have been recreated as children’s toys, thus showing the reward for nature in a more artistic way. “Blossom with every step” used various traditional needlework techniques of intangible cultural heritage to embroider patterns of HZAU, such as the Coreopsis grandiflora and ginkgo leaves on shoe pads, fully displaying the beauty of nature and art. “Beauty of hairpin” employed various techniques to create head-pinned flowers, inheriting and promoting the art of hairpin making. “Corner of spring” series of landscaping used materials such as boxwood, dawn redwood, and moss from HZAU to showcase the spring scenery of the campus, highlighting the vitality and cultural interests of the university. “Elegance of lotus” applied dried corn leaves to create elegant and vivid lotus shapes, representing the purity, integrity, and good luck of the lotus, which complemented the simplicity of corn leaves, displaying a wonderful harmony of beauty. “Firm as rock" and “Back to simplicity” were made from stream stones in the Shennongjia Forest Area, expressing the Logistics Support Department’s unwavering commitment to providing sound services.

The teachers and students present were attracted by the exhibition. Mrs. Wang, teacher from the College of Horticulture & Forestry Sciences, carefully appreciated every piece of work. She said, “I didn’t expect the Logistics Support Department is actually a place full of talents! These works also show that they are not only devoted to their work, but also have skilled hands and a heart that loves art and life!” Qiao, student from the Mechanical and Electronic Engineering Class 2001, said that he was amazed by the exhibition. “The uncles and aunts are really great! Not only do they provide good services, but they also have excellent artistic skills. I will share this with my classmates and hope to participate in more such activities in the future.”
