On the morning of March 16th, Shayang Experiment Station of HZAU was officially unveiled in Zhangchi Village, Zengji Town, Shayang County. HZAU’s Professor Fu Tingdong (academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), Yao Jianglin (Vice President of HZAU), Hu Zhiqiang (Director of Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Jingmen City), Chen Wei (Secretary of Shayang County Committee), and Li Junyi (Deputy County Mayor of Shayang County Government) attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wei Peng, director of the Social Services Department of Office of Scientific Research and Development of HZAU.

In Chen Wei’s keynote speech, he stated that the ceremony signified a further advancement in cooperation between Shayang and HZAU, and Shayang would focus on developing new quality productive forces in agriculture and actively providing support for the experiment station. He noted that under the guidance of experts, the station would definitely leverage its advantages in technological innovation and talents exchange to accelerate the application of scientific and technological achievements, thus injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of agriculture in Shayang.

Yao Jianglin, on behalf of HZAU, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all related parties for their support to HZAU, and warmly congratulated on the establishment of the station. He briefly reviewed the 30 years’ history of cooperation with Shayang and said that the establishment of the station was an iterative upgrade over the single fertilization test base established before in Shayang, a practical act to launch the strategic collaboration between the HZAU and Shayang, and an achievement of their in-depth cooperation. HZAU will strongly support the station to promote local economic and social development, and focus on research, practical application of achievements, integrated technology demonstration, and talents trainning. In addition, Shayang’s innovation and service systems of modern agricultural science and technology will be enhanced, as well as its education system, which will inject new life into the development of new quality productive forces in agriculture and rural revitalization.
